Blog Journal #11

11. Ask and answer the one important question that a university won't ask you, but you wish they would.
I wish a univeristy would ask me how did I decide to choose the university that I want to go to?
I want to go to the Univeristy of California Los Angeles. I would also like to play waterpolo for UCLA. I decided this college because I want to become a doctor and they have a really good program. Also, they have an excellent women's waterpolo team. They are national champions in the years of 1961, 1971, 1972, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2000, and 2004. They have also won the NCAA title in 2001, 2003, 205, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. The University of Los Angeles fufills both of my requirements that I need for my future. The medical school today has more than 2,000 full-time faculty members, almost 1,300 residents, more than 750 medical students and almost 400 Ph.D. candidates. The UCLA Medical Center has been ranked "Best in the West" by U.S. News and World Report's annual survey of the best hospitals in America for fourteen consecutive years. The medical school is ranked ninth in the country in research funding from the National Institutes of Health and third in the United States in research dollars from all sources.
